Yane Calovski and Hristina Ivanoska’s collaborative work that is appearing in a form of a publication titled “MAKEDONIUM: Dramaturgy of the Unfinished” is inspired by the documentation on the building of the Monument “Ilinden” (also known as the “Makedonium,” Krushevo, designed by Jordan and Iskra Grabuloski). The publication unifies two key concepts: a text constructed with Ivanoska’s performative methodology “If a Story is Present”, and a study for a spatial installation by Calovski titled “Restrained Space (Affected by your Actions)”. Also included is a selection of texts in Macedonian dedicated to the “Ilinden” Monument and a selection of technical drawings and documents from the archives of Jordan and Iskra Grabuloski (which are available in the State Archive of the Republic of North Macedonia).
“MAKEDONIUM: Dramaturgy of the Unfinished” is part of “Undisciplined: A Construction of an Archive,” a studio, discursive, research, publishing, and exhibition project.
